Come winter and the turmoil begins - exactly what you can wear outside and does not look shabby and yet keeps you warm? Okay, with dresses you can combine an elegant long coat with warm leggings and beautiful, light, warm gloves and socks. But how do you keep your ears and your head warm?

Just wear an ordinary wool hat and think she keeps the biting, cold, cold winds off your face, or at least does not have to pull the hat all over her ears to keep her warm? Or do you choose something that has proven itself for years and delivers very positive results? I bet all heads nod for the second option and that's why today I introduce the bomber hat. Uh ... No, it's not the hat that professional bombers wear.

What is a bomber hat then?

Contrary to the name you would immediately imagine, when people wear heavy helmets that protect their heads, it's just a leather hat with earflaps and a strap tied under the chin. It has a short, upturned bill, which often has a lining of fur or fleece. Typically, a bomber hat is worn with goggles. And if you are an animal lover, you can always choose a wool bomber hat. In fact, that's what I personally recommend and endorse.

A bomber hat is also known as a flying hat. When I first knew the two names, I was curious about the derivations. So, here's what I have for you.

Why a bomber hat or a flying hat?

These hats were worn by pilots flying the open cockpit planes that became popular at the beginning of the 20th century. The pilots wore safety goggles to protect their eyes during the flight. These hats, however, were used less frequently as closed cockpit aircraft became more popular. However, these hats were so comfortable that the pilots never gave up on them despite the closed cockpit planes. And they were in use until the Second World War. Therefore, they are named after their origin aviator hats and after the bombers of the Second World War, they wore bomber hats.

Why should you wear it?

In this case, I want you to wear it and face the pleasant warmth of the wool and answer yourself with the only possible answer: "You should wear it because there is no reason and you should not wear it."

Bomber hats are fashion, but no pomp. So you do not have to worry about the cost - they are just affordable. The wool (leather) not only holds your head, but also completely covers your ears. Also, wrap your nose and chin with a warm muffler. And the icy winds do not bother you at all!

Winters are not boring anymore. They are cozy and lazy. Happy winter and beautiful snowflakes for you!
